Best practices in crafting school HR policy manuals

MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP) will hold a pioneering seminar entitled “Best Practices in Manualization of School HR Policies” on Thursday and Friday, June 27 & 28, 2013 at the Edsa Shangri-la Hotel, Mandaluyong City, Philippines

This special two-day program is a comprehensive and practical guide for school owners, administrators and HR managers and practitioners on how to properly and systematically create a working manual and handbook of HR policies that is aligned with existing labor laws as well as with CHED and DEPED regulations. Designing a manual and a handbook are two of the most difficult and biggest challenges of schools. This program is designed to  equip schools officials with the right tools, templates and best practices techniques to get this difficult task accomplished in the fastest possible way.

For those with existing manuals and handbooks, it is important to update and align these with the new regulations. This one-time event is a timely opportunity to review old and outdated manual.  Schools that are serious about institutionalizing and professionalizing their operations, getting accreditations such as ISO, IQUAME, PACUCOA, and PAASCU will certainly need a working manual.

This program will likewise touch on special issues in employment such as the Code of Professional Ethics, Unionism in Schools, Labor-Management Cooperation, the Anti-Sexual Harassment Law, and creating a Drug–Free Workplace and Regulating Hazing.

Interested participants are encouraged to avail of the early bird and group discounts. Details, registration forms and other upcoming seminars including Education Law, Job Evaluation for School Employees are available at CGBP’s website www.cgbp.org or you may call (02) 842-7148/ 59; (02) 556-8968/ 69; Cebu lines (032) 512-3106/07 or Baguio telephone (074) 423-5148.
