Puregold holds sari-sari store convention

MANILA, Philippines - Retailer Puregold Price Club Inc. will host next week the biggest gathering of small entrepreneurs in the country in a four-day convention to be held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

With the theme “TENkyu Po, Ka-Asenso,” Puregold will bring together from May 22 to 25 its loyal customers, mostly neighborhood sari-sari store owners, carinderia operators, food resellers and bulk buyers, under its Tindahan ni Aling Puring program as well as trade partners to discuss new and fast-moving products, trends and marketing strategies designed for small business owners.

Tindahan ni Aling Puring program, which has attracted over 230,000 members from Metro Manila and Luzon, is a customized service Puregold rolled out 10 years ago to help aspiring entrepreneurs set up their businesses, equip them with skills and bridge them to micro-financing institutions.

Tindahan ni Aling Puring’s 8th convention will have Philippine Stock Exchange chairman and former Trade and Finance Secretary Jose T. Pardo as guest of honor.

“This is our way of saying thank you to all of our partners for driving Puregold to where it is right now. We want to share this with our partners by giving them economic opportunities and a chance to transform their lives and become successful entrepreneurs,” said Ferdinand Vincent Co, national merchandising director.

“We do not only build communities of small business owners, we also build dreams and make these happen,” Co added.
