Landco catapults leisure tourism in Playa Calatagan

MANILA, Philippines - Landco Pacific continues its conceptual approach to creating new leisure lifestyles and experiences by catapulting its Leisure Tourism Estate in Playa Calatagan, Batangas through the launch of two new projects: Playa Calatagan Residences and Aquaria.

Playa Calatagan Residences — a new seaside condominium complex — offers the combined attractions of a luxurious seaside vacation home and the convenience of a modern and fully-integrated residential complex. Built around a leisure tourism estate, the complex has been designed to include a commercial component where the developer will be inviting locators to open boutiques, restaurants and retail stores. Its first tower, called Nautilus, is set to ground break by fourth quarter of 2013.

Aquaria, the main  activity area of Playa Calatagan Residences is composed of a welcome center, bath houses, kiddie pool, cove pools, wooden cabanas, cove pool cabanas, sunken pool bar, food and beverage area and a giant three-storey high pool slide which is the highlight of the activity area. As the anchor development of Playa Calatagan’s Leisure Tourism Estate, it aims to attract local and foreign tourists, jumpstarting Playa Calatagan’s vision of being a world-class tourist destination within driving distance of Metro Manila. Aquaria will be ready for soft opening by December 2012.

Landco president and CEO Alfred Xerez-Burgos III said: “We are very excited about this project. The Aquaria beach resort will be ready for soft opening to the public before the end of the year, and we hope families will enjoy the expansive 1.2 hectare development including a 1,600 sqm pool and a three-storey high giant pool slide. The Playa Calatagan Residences condominiums will be right on the beautiful white sand beach. There is nothing like it available to the Metro Manila market.”
