Vista Land unit seeks BOI perks

MANILA, Philippines - Communities Pampanga, Inc., a unit of Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc., is seeking tax perks for a mass housing project in Bataan.

“Notice is hereby given that Communities Pampanga, Inc.,...is applying for registration with the Board of Investments (BOI) as a new developer of low-cost mass housing project (Camella Bataan) with a capacity of 298 low-cost mass housing units on a non-pioneer status,” the BOI said in a published notice.

The new mass housing project is located in Brgy. Tuyo, Balanga City, Bataan.

Communities Pampanga would be exempt from payment of income taxes for four years if its application for registration for the project is approved by the BOI.

Last month, Communities Pampanga also filed an application for registration with the BOI on a non-pioneer status for its other low-cost mass housing project Camella Fiorenza.

Camella Fiorenza which has a capacity of 52 low-cost mass housing units, is located in Apalit, Pampanga.

Should the BOI approve the application for registration for Camella Fiorenza, the firm would entitled to income tax holidays for four years from the start of commercial operations of the project.

Communities Pampanga is wholly-owned by Vista Land.

The firm is under Communities Philippines, Inc., a subsidiary of Vista Land offering affordable residential properties outside the mega Manila area.

Residential properties of Communities Philippines are priced between P800,000 to P3.5 million.

Communities Philippines’ begun its development efforts in Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Pangasinan, but it has also launched projects in other provinces around the country.

Apart from Communities Philippines, Vista Land’s other business units are Brittany, Crown Asia, Camella Homes and Vista Residences.
