Asian CEO Forum tackles business leadership

Manila, Philippines -  Marife Zamora, Convergys managing director for Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, will discuss business leadership in the Philippine setting at a special edition of the Asia CEO Forum on Aug. 8 at the events hall of Alphaland Southgate Towers along Edsa in Makati starting at 7:45 a.m.

Zamora is considered among the most accomplished Filipino managers today. The former Philippine country manager of Convergys grew the organization to become the country’s largest private employer today with a headcount of 25,000 in less than a decade.

Christine Timmins Barry, senior vice-president of operations for Convergys, says of Zamora: “Marife managed the spectacular growth we have experienced in the Philippines and (her promotion to managing director) is a true reflection of Marife’s success in the Philippines and our belief in her ability to replicate that success internationally.”

Richard Mills, chairman of Asia CEO Awards, the largest regular networking event for business executives, observes: “Marife Zamora’s track record in the Philippines is a fine and outstanding example of what can be done in the country with a Filipino management team.”

Today Zamora oversees 37,000 employees in Convergys contact centers in the United Kingdom, India and the Philippines. As managing director, it is her responsibility to deliver superior service to the company’s clients and their customers.

Convergys is considered the leader in customer management for over 30 years. Among Fortune 500 companies, over half of the top 50 entrust their client relations to Convergys.
