MANILA, Philippines - Zest Air, Asia’s most refreshing airline, now flies direct from Manila to Quanzhou, Jinjiang, China.
“The fruits of our hard work to operate Zest Air’s first International flight direct out of Manila is now finally ready for the harvest,” said Zest Air president and CEO Ambassador Alfredo M. Yao.
Already operating five international flights since 2010 – Incheon and Pusan in Korea, Shanghai and Beijing in China, and Taipei, Taiwan out of Kalibo and Cebu International Airports – the Quanzhou, Jinjiang, China is Zest Air’s first International flight emanating direct out of Manila.
More international flights direct from Manila are scheduled this year -- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Shanghai, China and Incheon Korea. Zest Air is as well looking at resuming its flight to Hong Kong and opening its Singapore routes.
“Zest Air will be utilizing the spacious and wide-legroom Airbus 320 (A320) with 180-seating configuration. The sector will be initially operated three (3) times a week that is every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and will be increased accordingly depending on market demand,” Yao said.
The two hour and a half flight leaves in Manila at 9:10 in the morning and arrives Quanzhou, Jinjiang International Airport at 11:30 a.m. The return flight to Manila leaves at 2:00 in the afternoon and arrives in Manila at 4:30 pm.
Zest Air will initially operate at the NAIA Terminal 3 until end of April and will resume its Manila-Quanzhou, Jinjiang at the Terminal 4 (Manila Domestic Airport) while the airport authorities are yet preparing the said terminal for international operations.
Zest Air presently flies to over 25 domestic and international destinations, 19 domestic destinations such as Boracay via Kalibo, Bacolod, Busuanga, Calbayog, Cagayan De Oro, Catarman, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Manila, Masbate, Marinduque, Puerto Princesa, San Jose Mindoro, Tablas, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, Virac.
Zest Air has a current fleet of 14 aircraft, nine of which are Airbus 320s, with 162-180 (seating configuration), one one A319 (with 144-seating configuration), and four MA60s (56-seating configuration) and is looking forward for the acquisition of two two more A320s this year.
