MANILA, Philippines - Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. (TMPC) has launched a certification program for pre-owned vehicles, the company said in a statement.
Under the Toyota Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles (TCPOV) program before a unit is certified, it has to go through a rigorous testing process by Toyota-trained technicians. Various tests and inspection process are conducted to ensure the vehicle’s quality and condition.
“Purchasing a reliable used car is given much importance. Nowadays, finding dependable pre-owned vehicles can be a difficult task,” TMPC said.
The vehicles are then checked, reconditioned and granted a one-year limited warranty before it is put on sale.
“The vehicles are also examined with the latest and most advanced technology by our authorized assessors who have undergone extensive training under a Toyota Motor Corp. specialist,” TMPC said.
The TCPOV program also promises fair trade-in value for customers. Current Toyota vehicle owners can use their existing units as downpayments for brand-new ones.
While the program is currently offered only in Bicutan, Balintawak and Iloilo, it will soon be offered in other dealership outlets.
“In launching the new TCPOV program, we aim to reward our customers for all the years of support. With this new service we are able to practice the ‘customer for life concept’ where the process from buying, to replacing a vehicle will be made available in a one-stop shop facility. We at Toyota are very excited to be able to find new ways to provide our customers a more convenient purchasing experience and peace of mind with Toyota’s Sure Advantage,” said TMPC president Michinobu Sugata.
