PJ Lhuillier picks IBM solution for growing customer demand

MANILA, Philippines - PJ Lhuillier Inc. (PJLI) has strengthened its information technology infrastructure with IBM BladeCenter servers and eX5 systems to address increasing customer demands and better prepare for an anticipated surge of business transactions in December.

The IBM BladeCenter server is an integrated system of blade servers, storage, management and networking options that help reduce management complexity and increase performance and energy-efficiency. It lessens costs with a reliable and flexible design that deters the need for “rip and replace” as capacity needs change.

As part of the solution, IBM BladeCenter HS22 blade servers will provide hot-swap drives and integrated systems management tools, common across all new x86 servers. This will help improve the economics of PJLI’s current infrastructure, and ensure faster performance to reduce IT footprint, energy and connectivity costs.

The IBM BladeCenter HX5 server is an innovative move geared towards enabling optimal performance for PJLI’s enterprise applications. Its extended memory capabilities enable the x3850 X5 to achieve new levels of productivity, doubling the virtualization capacity and assisting in PJLI’s most data-demanding applications.

First established in 1996, the IBM-PJLI partnership started with the acquisition of the first IBM server. This next step is a continuous enhancement of PJLI’s goal of providing its clients with the best services as testament to their slogan “Walang Kapantay Magpahalaga.
