MANILA, Philippines - Wireless leader Smart Communications Inc. announced yesterday the availability of new All-In postpaid plans — touted as the “ultimate in consumable” — that allows Smart postpaid subscribers to use their subscription packages as they please.
“While the competition’s ‘add-on’ postpaid plan stack one service on top of the other like building blocks, Smart’s All-in plans lets you ‘add-in’ services as if you’re filling a box. Simply sign up for the services whenever you want and package your plan the way you want it—it’s that flexible,” Smart mobile marketing head Guido Zaballero said.
Available All-in services include the popular UnliTalk, UnliText, and UnliSurf packages as well as consumable browsing, and BlackBerry packages that include email, instant messaging and social networks, and browsing for BlackBerry users.
To avail of a package, simply text the appropriate keyword to 7577 (e.g. “Talk”– then send to 7577). Another option is to register via the SIM menu, simply text MENU to 7577.
Both new and existing subscribers with active or expired contracts are qualified to apply for an All-in postpaid plan. To migrate to an All-in plan, one can call *1888 on your mobile or visit the nearest Smart Wireless Center.
“Demand for services has clearly changed. Our postpaid subscribers want to be able to avail of the same packages available to our prepaid subscribers and that’s exactly what we did. All-in is like prepaid on postpaid. It lets our subscribers have full control on how they want to use their monthly service fees. No strings attached, no hidden fees, just great service that only the No.1 network can provide,” he said.
Smart and its parent company Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) are embarking on a massive network upgrade which includes the installation of new network elements as well as the improvement of existing infrastructure such as fiber optic cables, cell sites and International gateways.
PLDT has earmarked a total of P67.1 billion for the upgrades.
All-in plans have the same call and text rates as the regular plans and they also come with the latest device. HTC’s top-of-the-line smartphone, the HTC Sensation is offered for free at All-in Plan 2500, while the world’s first “Facebook phone”, HTC ChaCha and the near field communication-enabled (NFC-enabled) Nokia C7 are available free at All-in Plan 1800.
