Robinsons Homes acquires Lipa property

MANILA, Philippines - Robinsons Homes (RHomes), one of the four residential brands of Gokongwei-owned property development unit Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC), has acquired a 12.4-hectare property in Lipa City which it plans to develop into a premiere residential subdivision.

RHomes general manager Joan R. Cosico said the property will be developed into a prime tropical-inspired residential subdivision with a commercial component. The firm has tapped Palafox Associates for the project’s design concept.

“Lipa enjoys good elevation so our project will be designed as a walkable community – which means there will be generous open spaces, activity areas and pocket parks, which will be just a two-minute walk from any residential lot,” Cosico said.

Lot cuts are about 200 square meters each so that each family will be able to enjoy ample living spaces and natural airflow, she added.

While this is RHomes’ first residential development in Lipa City, it is the firm’s second in the province of Batangas after the highly successful Robinsons Residenza Milano in Batangas City which was sold out briskly after its launch.

Located in Barangay Tibig, Lipa City, the project site is accessible via the South Luzon Expressway and the Star tollway whose Tambo exit is less than three kilometers away. Travel time from Manila takes only about 90 minutes.

The property is also strategically located amid various institutions and prime destinations in Lipa City and less than a kilometer from the two-story Robinsons Place Lipa mall.

Cosico noted that Lipa City is a growth market for RLC and that Robinsons Place Lipa has continued to enjoy a loyal and stable following through the years.

She said the new project’s target market will be those families who would like to purchase their very first homes, or upgrade from their current homes to a more central location to be near places of work, church, medical facility, school and even those that would like the conveniences of living nearby Robinsons Place Lipa.

Prior to this residential project, RLC has already put up a two level mall in Lipa City consisting of a main mall and an expansion mall which hosts, restaurants and entertainment outlets, a department store and supermarket, fashion outlets, and a transport terminal.

Lipa City is also known as the Little Baguio of the South, where the climate is relatively cooler and breezy due to its elevation of 1,025 feet above sea level.

Rhomes has 28 projects nationwide in key areas such as Antipolo, Batangas, Cavite, Pampanga, Tarlac, Laoag, Cebu, Davao and Cagayan de Oro.
