Glad minimizes food wastage

MANILA, Philippines - Glad offers tips to help minimize food wastage using its complete line of storage products. First, if you plan to consume food within three to five days, placing it in a refrigerator is enough; beyond that, better to keep it in the freezer. Second, avoid crowding the fridge since it prevents cold air from circulating properly. Use Glad Press ‘n Seal Wrap for dry food, and Glad OvenWare containers for items with liquids and sauces. Third, separate raw from cooked, in freezing leftover food. To keep food fresh, use Glad OvenWare containers which have airtight lids. Store raw fish and meats in Glad Freezer Bags, and cover open bowls and containers with Glad Cling Wrap to avoid spillage and contamination. Fourth, pack leftovers in small portions. Whole roast, ham and chicken should be cut into smaller pieces then stored in Glad Zipper Freezer Bags. Remove pies, cakes and pastries from their boxes, then wrap in Glad Aluminum Foil. Finally, when in doubt, throw it out. The Glad brand of wraps, bags, storage and other kitchen aid products are available in leading supermarkets nationwide.
