MANILA, Philippines - The “8th Pamilyang OFWs-Micro, Small and Medum Entrepreneurs Expo” and the “6th Filipino Seafarers Family Expo & Forum” will be held Sept. 18 to 20 at the Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay City.
In her message to OPO, President Arroyo said: “What welcome the ’8th Pamilyang OWFWs-MSMEs Expo’ and the ‘6th Filipino Seafarers Family Expo & Forum’ because these will help our OFWs and their families find worthwhile opportunities and profitable investments for their hard-earned money. You are truly‘ Empowering the OFW and MSME families through Information, Opportunities and Benefits’ through these expositions.”
There are nine million OFWs, which include the seafarers or sea-based workers.
They are not just” modern day heroes” but also “great investors” whose remittances help keep the Philippine economy and corporate earnings afloat.
Since 1994, the people behind the OPO (with tel. no. 487-8287 and website address –http://www.pamilyangofw.com/) organized events – in cooperation with the government, private and non-government organization sectors –which gave OFW families vital and useful information on livelihood and business opportunities.
The even is being organized by the Pamilyang OFWs-Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Network Foundation Inc.(OPO).
