MANILA, Philippines - SAP Philippines (PH) continued to post strong growth in the first quarter of 2009. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) continue to be the main business drivers as many are in the midst of their automation programs.
“SAP Philippines delivered a strong first quarter showing with several key wins particularly in the SME segment,” said Jennifer Ligones, country manager, SAP Philippines. “Our SME customer base covers a cross section of the food, consumer products, retail and personal care industries.”
“Many of our customers are investing in SAP solutions now so that they can stay competitive and take advantage of the current lean times to prepare for greater opportunities when the economy recovers,” added Ligones.
Some of SAP Philippines’ new SME customers this quarter are Foods Asia Inc. (the makers of Bibingkinitan), Optical Works, Your Skincare Authority, and Gandang Kalikasan. Among the notable large enterprise deals this period are China Banking Corp. and Chinatrust (Philippines) Commercial Bank Corp.
