The Philippine Economic Society will hold its 46th annual meeting at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Assembly Hall on Nov. 14.
Entitled “Competitiveness, Growth and Equity in a Globalizing Economy”, the highlight of this year’s conference is the plenary session discussion the Philippines’ economic prospects for the coming year, made more relevant by the ongoing global financial crisis.
The other plenary session will discuss the mentioned title of the conference: “Competitiveness, Growth and Equity in a Globalilzing Economy.” NEDA Director General Ralph Recto, former Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno and Peter Wallace of the Wallace business forum will grace the plenary sessions, along with Erik Le Borgne of the World Bank, Shigeyuki Abe of the East Asian Economic Association, and Raul Fabella of the University of the Philippines School of Economics.
