ANZ Bank-ANZCHAM presents Business Awards 2002

The ANZ Bank-ANZCHAM Business Awards was held last July 25 to give due recognition to ANZCHAM member companies for their significant role in the promotion and expansion of Australian and New Zealand trade in the Philippines and for their contribution to the overall Philippine economy.

These companies were recognized, not only for their accomplishments, but also for serving as an inspiration for other companies to strive harder and be the best in their respective industries.

The winners of the ANZ Bank- ANZCHAM Business Awards were presented with Roberto Romulo, chairman of the Philippine Foundation for Global Concern and e-ASEAN Task Force, as the guest speaker.

The awards night was attended by ANZCHAM president Richard Barclay, ANZ Bank country lead and general manager Johnny Co, together with Ambassador Ruth Pearce of Australia, Terry Baker of New Zealand, and Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Delia Albert.

In a statement, the Australian-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (Philippines), Inc. (ANZCHAM) said the exercise of presenting awards to excellent ANZCHAM member companies is a symbol of the chamber’s unwavering trust and confidence in the Philippine economy. ANZCHAM enjoined the entire Australian and New Zealand business community to congratulate and emulate this year’s awardees.

The Business Excellence Award was presented to Leighton Contractors Philippines.

The Business Promotion Award was presented to James Hardie Philippines.

The Business Innovation Award was presented to Amalgamated Investment Bancorporation.

The Business Entrepreneurial Award was presented to BMW Philippines.

The Special Environmental Commendation Award was presented to Indophil Resources.

The Business Awards was organized by ANZCHAM in cooperation with the ANZ Bank Philippines and supported by Let’s Talk Communication and WineWorld.
