Highlands Prime to launch P800-M project in Tagaytay

Highlands Prime Inc. (HPI) is embarking on its first residential community development project inside the sprawling Tagaytay Highlands and Tagaytay Midlands complex in Tagaytay City.

Highlands Prime president Antonio A. Henson said the P800-million development will take about 15 months to complete and is expected to generate gross revenues amounting to P1.3 billion for Highlands Prime Inc. Construction is set for September 2002.

The 150-unit project, to be called The Woodridge, is envisioned to have seven clusters of medium density high-end condominium dwellings to be built right at one of the highest elevations in Tagaytay Highlands. The architectural firm of Recio + Casas has been commissioned to do the architectural design. Nine major construction companies have been shortlisted for the bidding, which is scheduled for July 19, 2002. These include DMCI, EEI, L&M Maxco, Pragmatic Construction Co., New Golden City, Monolith Construction Datem Construction and others.

This five-hectare residential community will be consistent with the general motif of Tagaytay Highlands and will have a rustic theme inspired by natural material such as stone and timber. The Woodridge condos will have two and three bedroom units with approximate floor areas of 111 square meters and 175 square meters, respectively.

The condominium units will have the vantage view of the overwhelming scenery of the Tagaytay Highlands development and its golf course, and the outlying areas of Canlubang and Laguna de Bay.

The Woodridge project signals HPI’s role as the prime mover in the development of the Tagaytay Highlands and Midlands into a complete high-end leisure and residential community, he added. Highlands Prime is majority owned by the SM Group, with Belle Corp. owning a minority stake.

Meanwhile, other projects aimed at fulfilling the demands at Highlands and Midlands are underway. These projects are intended to respond to the various desires and needs of its growing community.
