Cebu Pacific adds more HK flights

Cebu Pacific (CEB) has added three frequencies to its Manila-Hong Kong service increasing its number of flights to 17 times weekly.

Last March 31, CEB started operating its three additional flights to Hong Kong every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday at 1:45 p.m. over and above its twice-daily flights at 7 a.m. and 4:40 p.m.

"With these three additional frequencies, the Philippines is already fully utilizing the entitlements under the Manila-Hong Kong Air Services Agreement," said Manolo San Juan, CEB’s VP for Marketing.

Started only last November 2001, CEB’s Hong Kong service has shown significant improvement in a matter of months. In the last half of March 2002, the passenger load factor (PLF) averaged 69 percent. "There were days in March when we flew with one hundred percent PLF," San Juan said.

CEB also opened its Seoul services last March 1 scheduled on Monday, Friday and Sunday with an extra section on Thursday. On the domestic front, the airline began flying the Manila/Butuan route last March 22.
