The Rohm group is one of the worlds largest semiconductor manufacturing companies and through its Rohm Electronics, Rohm Mechatech, and Rohm Apollo semiconductor has infused a total of P9.781-billion worth of investments in the PEZA economic zone.
Rohm officials led by Rohm Electronics Phils., Inc. general manager Naotaka Oka and Rohm Mechatech Philippines, Inc. general manager Antonio Dacalos told PEZA Director-General Lilia de Lima that the expansion of their projects is a strong manifestation of their faith and confidence in the Philippines.
Oka and Dacalos also indicated to De Lima their plans to further expand their operations in the Philippines over the next five years that will amount to a total of P25 billion.
Rohm Realty earlier developed and rehabilitated the former Technology Livelihood Resource Center (TLRC) now the Peoples Technology Complex Special Economic Zone into a world-class special economic zone headed by Edgar de Jesus.
