MANILA, Philippines - Aabot ng P25 milyon ang magiging gastos ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III sa kanyang 5-day state visit sa China mula Agosto 30-Sept 3.
Sinabi ni Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr., kapalit naman ng biyaheng ito ni Pangulong Aquino ang bilyong investments mula sa China.
Umalis kagabi si Pangulong Aquino kasama ang kanyang delegasyon patungong China lulan ng Philippine Airlines special flight PR-001 kasama sina Foreign Secretary Albert Del Rosario, Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory Domingo, DOTC Sec. Mar Roxas, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, at Energy Secretary Rene Almendras kasama din ang may 200 business representatives sa pangunguna ni Lucio Tan ng PAL.
Kasama din ang pinsan ni PNoy na si Antonio Cojuangco Jr. ng Nabasan Subic Development Corporation gayundin si Mr. George Ty ng Metro Bank, Tony Tan Caktiong ng Jollibee, Manny Pangilinan, Carlos Chan ng Liwayway Holdings, John Gokongwei Jr. ng JG Summit Holdings at may 200 negosyante.
Makikipagkita si PNoy kay President Hu Jintao. Bukod sa Beijing ay magtutungo din ang Pangulo sa Shanghai at Xiamen.
The primary objective of the President’s visit is to further strengthen bilateral ties between the Philippines and China, especially in the aspect of trade and commerce,” wika pa ni Ochoa.
“President Aquino will be meeting Chinese businessmen and economic policy-makers, and given the potential of both our economies, we hope to close investment deals that will be beneficial for all those involved,” paliwanag pa ni Ochoa.
