Shaping womanhood

When I was 12, my parents told me that I should add a baby bra under my school uniform. Before that, I was just wearing sandos, but I guess those weren’t enough to support my changing body. Aside from getting my period, that conversation was one core memory that indicated I was now a dalaga.

In my teens, my baby bras graduated to adult bras. Some were new, and others were hand-me-downs from my older cousins. For years, those were adequate.

I thought that since there had been no new developments in my body, there was no need to get new intimates.

Now that I’m in my 20s, my body isn’t the same as when I was 16. My metabolism is slower, and now I observe body bulges I previously didn’t have, like tummy rolls and bra fat.

With the current underwear rotation I had, I was no longer getting the right support, which tremendously affected my confidence. I’m a grown woman, and I deserve to feel like one.

I sought better-fitting essentials. On days I need an extra boost of confidence, I reach for shapewear. I used to associate shapewear with moms hiding their post-pregnancy bodies, but Solá has changed that perception entirely.

Solá’s two new shapewear colors, Milk and Sand.

Founded by celebrity entrepreneur Kylie Verzosa, Solá has introduced a line of premium shapewear aimed at empowering women of all shapes and sizes.

Each design is available in an extensive size range, from XS to XXL. With the Mercury Collection, Solá has introduced two new colors, Milk and Sand, expanding their groundbreaking range.

Milk, an opaque white tone, complements both cool and warm skin tones and is a re-released favorite from Solá sold-out limited-edition #SOLÁMilkyWay drop in May. Sand, a pale nude hue similar to their popular Camel shade, offers another versatile option.

What sets Solá apart is its innovative approach to shapewear. These bodysuits aren't just functional underneath clothing; they're so beautifully crafted that you can confidently wear them alone as a top.

Another aspect of my life that I wanted to improve was my makeup routine, which I carried over from high school. During my teenage years, I just used beginner-friendly tinted lip balms — they were uncomplicated and perfect for quick, everyday looks.

But that could only take me so far. For weddings, job interviews, and dates, I needed something more than a subtle hint of color.

Fortunately, Solá is introducing the new hue, "Sand," in conjunction with L'Oréal Paris' new "Nude Attitude" collection, which is part of its Infallible Matte Lipsticks.

This special collaboration blends L'Oréal's cosmetics expertise with Solá passion for empowering women through beauty and self-confidence.

Investing in high-quality lip products has transformed my makeup routine. My look is now more polished and sophisticated, with makeup that lasts longer and better matches my skin tone.

Just as different undergarments suit certain outfits and occasions, specific lip products cater to various moods and events. Choosing the right ones for my face and body has allowed me to embrace my womanhood with confidence and grace.
