This Monday, Solá introduced No-Show Nipple Covers, a much-requested companion to its first collection of shapewear. We put it to the test.
Beauty queen-turned-actress Kylie Verzosa started the brand earlier this year as a “love letter to everybody,” offering five shapewear styles from XS to 2XL, all designed with the Asian body in mind.
“After hearing the growing demand for accessories to be worn under the shapewear, we’ve listened, and we’re excited to share this completely opaque, seamless, and reusable design with our community,” Kylie shares with Young STAR.
The nipple covers come in three shades to cater to different skin tones. “We want everyone to feel confident and comfortable when they’re wearing Solá, and sometimes that extra boost you need is just a little bit of coverage when wearing intimates,” adds Solá general manager Ally Gao.
The verdict: Solá never disappoints. I paired the new nipple covers with their mid-thigh bodysuit in 2XL, which gives support to the stomach and thighs. While it looked small in the box, it has a comfortable stretch that sculpts your body instead of suppressing it. I personally thought it already had enough coverage, but the nipple covers added that extra level of comfort. Its seamless finish and skin-safe adhesive barely made it noticeable.
It’s very rare for shapewear to get their sizing right on its first try — a testament to Solá’s mission of empowering everyone to feel comfortable in their own skin — and I look forward to more sizing options for their nipple covers, too. Still, this is a promising start, and if there’s anything Solá has proven, it’s that they listen.
