CEBU, Philippines — Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella graced the meeting of the Cebu City United Riders Club (CCURC) yesterday at the Barangay San Jose Community Stage, despite being sick.

Based on the Facebook post of Cebu City Administrator Atty. Floro Casas Jr., the mayor was sick and was advised by his doctor to rest.

"Bisan sa grabe nga ubo ug sip-on ug bisan advised to rest sa iyang doctor, mibangon gyud tawon ang mayor para mutambong sa tigom sa mga habal-habal drivers karong buntag para maminaw sa ilang mga concerns," Casas wrote.

Labella reportedly wanted to personally witness and hear the concerns of the motorcycle-for-hire drivers.

The FREEMAN tried to contact several times Casas about the concern of the drivers as well as directive of the mayor regarding the operation of habalhabal drivers, but the calls and SMS remained unanswered. (FREEMAN)
