Jackes sees tougher stint vs top drivers

Flynn Jackes

MANILA, Philippines - Fil-Aussie Flynn Jackes hopes to sustain his form as he moves up to a higher class in the 2013 Coca-Cola Karting Super Series set March 2-3 at the Carmona Racetrack in Cavite.

The nine-year-old Jackes humbled fancied rivals and turned in impressive finishes last year to become the next karting champion.

Jackes scored back-to-back wins in the Mini-ROK champion in both the 2012 Coca-Cola Karting Super Series and the three-leg Mini-ROK Cup to highlight his campaign last year.

He also put on a strong performance against the fancied Indonesian bets in the last two legs of the 2012 Asian Karting Open Championship and finished third in the Asian Mini-ROK.

“It was a fruitful season and I couldn’t have made it without God’s will, the all-out support of my parents and the efforts of the team, the crew and the mechanics. Hopefully, 2013 will be a bigger year for us,” said Jackes.

He hopes to achieve more this year under the Tuason Racing School Race Career Management Program (TRS-RCMP).

“Jackes is a big testimony to the success of the TRS-RCMP,” said TRS founder and president JP Tuason who conceptualized the program to help
young racers achieve a successful career path in motorsports and develop them into world caliber racers by providing them with available programs and racing avenues abroad through its partnerships in Asia, US and Europe.

”Flynn has shown that distinct dedication and determination, investing a lot of hard work and sacrifices in achieving big feats to truly keep
up with the championship tradition Tuason Racing School is known for,” he added.
