MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance holds the ninth derby of its five-cock derby circuit Tuesday.
Recent NCA derby winner Patrick Antonio is hosting the derby.
Hosted by power team of Mayor Boyet Joson, and Danny and Joel Teves, the March 29 derby saw a record number of participants.
Highlighting the action were the roosters bred, raised, and conditioned in the farm of Vice President Jejomar Binay.
Since winning the NCA derby last March 15, the roosters from Binay’s farm got 2-1/2 points in the March 29 derby after tough and grueling matches.
Antonio won the NCA derby last March 29 with his entry “Sagupaan”, followed by Gov. Ito Ynares’ “Rizal 1” with 4-1/2 points for second place.
“Mulawin SF” of Cong. Rudy Albano and Jimmy Ang, “SF Firefly 12” of the Firefly Group, “JCT Lamarea” of Jerry Teves, and “Pasay 5-Cock April 1” also of Patrick Antonio placed with identical 4 points.
“Goldquest Champions” of Tommy Chua and Osang dela Cruz, “April 28 Big Event sa Makati” of Nestor Mercado and Bong Joson, and “JAC Marinduque June 17 Pasay” of Bong Carreon took fourth with 3-1/2 points each.
“Tiffany & Chokoy Biñan 3D” of Danny Teves, “JM VP Fantastic” of Jun Soriano, “MRC/FL” of Mayor Romy Castro, Fidel Lopez, and Blandy Tolentino, “SF San Roque Cockpit” of Vice Mayor Goto and Bebot Uy, “Imax” of Eddie Gonzales, “2M April 13 5-Cock Cauayan” of Mayor Cesar Dy, and “Magnefor Camsur May 29 6-Cock” of Ricky Magtoto all got 3 points apiece.
