NEW YORK – The New York Knicks signed free agent Chinese guard Sun Yue on Thursday without disclosing terms.
The 2.06-meter Sun averaged 0.6 points, 0.2 assists and 2.8 minutes as a rookie last season.
The Los Angeles Lakers selected the 23-year-old from Hebei, China, in the second round, 40th overall, of the 2008 draft.
He also played in the NBA Development League last season, averaging 9.8 points, 3.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds for the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
Sun started in all six games for China at the Beijing Olympics. (AP)
