MANILA, Philippines - Para kay promoter Bob Arum, naiÂpakita na ni Manny Pacquiao ang kaÂhanÂdaan sa pagbabalik sa kanyang paÂmatay na porma nang dominahin si BranÂdon ‘Bam Bam’ Rios sa kanilang non-title, welterweight fight noong NobÂyembre 24 sa Macau, China.
Ang susunod na tanong ay kung maÂpapanatili ito ng Filipino world-eight diÂvision champion sa kanilang rematch ni world welterweight titlist Timothy Bradley, Jr.
Ginitla ni Bradley (31-0-0, 12 KOs) si Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KOs) para huÂbaÂran si ‘Pacman’ ng suot nitong World BoÂxing Organization (WBO) welterweight crown noong Hunyo 9, 2012.
Matapos ito ay pinatumba si Pacquiao ni Juan Manuel Marquez (55-7-1, 40 KOs) sa sixth round sa kanilang ikaÂapat na banggaan noong Disyembre 8, 2012.
“As far as Manny is concerned, he looked like a dominant force going inÂto the Bradley fight. Then he had the knockout loss to Marquez. And that cerÂtainly was something to take into account; how would he react to getting knocked out so decisively? I think he answered that part in the Rios fight but questions still remain with Manny and we’ll see when Bradley tests him,†ani Arum ng Top Rank Promotions.
Nakatakda ang rematch ng 35-anÂyos na si Pacquiao at ng 30-anyos na si Bradley sa Abril 12 sa MGM Grand sa Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sinabi ni Arum na parehong mahaÂlaÂga para kina Pacquiao at Bradley ang reÂmatch.
“I think it’s a very important fight for both of them. Bradley got the decision over Manny and Manny wants revenge and to get his title back. That’s important for him,†ani Arum.
“As far as Tim is concerned, he neÂver got credit for winning the fight and now he wants a decisive win to prove that he’s the better fighter,†dagdag pa ng promoter.
