Rock & Seoul

New Korean restaurant Rock & Seoul is now open to serve a playful twist on the well-loved dish — bibimbap. The restaurant is run by the Relish Group, which also operates Wee Nam Kee, Osaka Ohsho and Kumori Japanese Bakery.

Rock & Seoul offers its customers the liberty to make their own bibimbap creations! Customers can select how they would like their bibimbap meal to be customized. Each customer can experience the fun in creating a meal to suit his or her taste, with toppings ranging from different proteins, vegetables and sauces.

Bibimbap is one of my favorite Korean dishes and is a meal on its own. With the concept of this restaurant, can you imagine the countless possibilities of how many varieties of bibimbap you can make?

There are 15 signature “baps” to choose from like the Rock & Seoul’s Classic Original Bibimbap, juicy Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap and crispy Korean Fried Chicken Bibimbap. There are also healthier alternatives like the Mixed Seafood Bibimbap and the vegetarian Tofu Bibimbap. Also in the restaurant’s bibimbap menu is the Mexican Taco with lettuce, cheese, chips and ground meat; American Breakfast with bacon, hash brown and hamburger; and Persian Shawarma topped with beef slices and a creamy cilantro sauce. Each bibimbap is served with a cooked egg and the restaurant’s spicy kimchi butter and house sauce. Other Korean dishes offered at the restaurant include chap chae, Spicy Silken Tofu Stew and Korean Fried Chicken.

A visit to Rock & Seoul is like going back to the glory days of rock and roll — walls adorned by memorabilia ranging from old-school vinyl players and turntables to records of Bon Jovi, Pink Floyd and Aerosmith, finished off with amplifiers, electric guitars and drum sticks. Neon-lighted ceilings, textured walls with funky wall art will welcome you to the restaurant when you’re ready to make your own bap!
