Going organic

Organic farming advocates and health enthusiasts gathered at the launch of the new organic products from Healthy Options.

The store’s managing director Romy Sia spearheaded the event. He was joined by Healthy Options president Christian Tan, brand director Pam So-Suarez and organic farm business manager LJ Mallari in welcoming the guests to the celebration of “good food grown the good way.”

The launch, hosted by Amanda Griffin-Jacob, opened with Sia’s talk about the benefits of organic farming. “Through Healthy Options, consumers can now access food that truly nurtures, just like Mother Nature intended it to be,” said Sia.

Healthy Options’ organic farm raises crops and animals the all-natural way — free of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, growth hormones and animal cruelty.

Daniel Matsunaga, Hideo Muraoka, Vanessa Matsunaga and other models paraded in a mini-fashion show carrying baskets of organic fruits, vegetables and meat from the store’s farm in Laguna.

Sia and Tan led a toast to the brand’s 18th year. They also led the crowd to a dinner that featured food from the organic farm. The star of the buffet was the succulent, flavorful and guilt-free lechon from Healthy Options’ organic farm.
