Suspected Mindanao rob group here in Cebu

JEEPNEY RIDE. An Ear informer was onboard a Talamban-bound jeepney with 13B route marking last Friday evening when 5 men came onboard. They talked in Cebuano but with an accent common in Mindanao. A man in his mid-20’s carrying a backpack said, “Ika 10 na to no?” To which the heavy-built man in his late 30’s replied, “Naunsa man ni si Dan. Mora na man kag bag-o pa. Ika 12 na to uy.” He then threw a wallet at “Dan” and said, “O, kana, ika 13 na kana.” The man holding the backpack opened it and began counting what appeared to be several cellphones and wallets.

ROBBERS. The heavy-set man then sat beside “Dan” and said, “Ambi tong Nokia bi.” He got the silver flip cellphone and began to examine it, commenting its new look. “Nindota ani o.” He then berated “Dan” with, “Ikaw ba, naunsa man ka? Wala man gani ko gikuyawan nga sa gobyerno to akong gikuan.” The five men then disembarked at the corner of Gen. Maxilom and Gorordo Ave., telling “Dan” to stay put at the corner. The heavy-set man said, “Ari ka ka puwesto ha.” The jeepney conductor later told the passengers, “Mga kawatan man to.”
