Quezon City cop nabbed for shabu in Camarines Sur

MANILA, Philippines — A police officer assigned at the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) was arrested for alleged possession of shabu in Libmanan, Camarines Sur yesterday.

Cpl. Antonio Salamanque, allegedly considered as a high-value drug suspect, was collared by anti-narcotics agents in Barangay Sibujo at around 2:51 a.m.

Salamanque, who is assigned at the QCPD-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, was in civilian clothes when he allegedly sold shabu to an undercover agent.

Police said they recovered from Salamanque eight plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated street value of P1.36 million as well as a handgun, rifle and ammunition.

Meanwhile, in Zamboanga Sibugay, police seized shabu with an estimated street value of P6.8 million during a sting in Kabasalan town on Saturday.

Ramos Baladji was collared after he allegedly sold shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Poblacion.

Police said they recovered from Baladji a kilo of shabu, phone and marked money.

In Quezon province, police seized shabu with an estimated street value of P190,000 during a sting in Lucena City on Sunday night.
