MANILA, Philippines — The Muntinlupa City government has been declared a drug-free workplace, according to the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Office.
DAPCO Muntinlupa chief police Col. Floricito Ragudo on Monday said the city’s local government complied with all the parameters of the Dangerous Drugs Board indicated in Regulation No. 13 Series of 2018.
Under the regulation, the head agency shall conduct substance abuse awareness and prevention programs, administer mandatory and random drug testing, maintain a drug-free workplace and ensure adequate funding for the implementation of the drug-free workplace policy.
“Our city government underwent this process, and it makes us proud that everyone cooperated with our goal to make Muntinlupa City Hall a drug-free workplace,” Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon said in his speech.
Biazon emphasized that drug users have no place in the local government of Muntinlupa.
A drug-free workplace marker was unveiled at the Muntinlupa City Hall quadrangle last Monday.
