MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 3 earthquake jolted Ilocos Norte while magnitude 2 was felt in Ilocos Sur yesterday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the intensity 3 earthquake was recorded in Paoay, Pasuquin, Sarrat and Laoag City of Ilocos Norte while Sinait, Ilocos Sur registered an intensity 2 tremor.
The center of the quake, said to be tectonic in origin, was reported at nine kilometers northwest of Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte.
