With the arrest of Hadji Alimudin, owner of the Kawasaki HDIII 125cc motorcycle, police are confident they could identify the people who masterminded the murder.
The motorcycle, used by suspects Rodolfo Cuer and Mark Datas in killing Gingoyon near his house in Bacoor, Cavite, was found near a mosque at Green Valley in Molino, Bacoor yesterday morning.
The motorcycle, painted black, blue and red, was reportedly being used for a tricycle at Samata Village in Las Piñas City.
Aside from providing the motorcycle, Alimudin was the one who allegedly gave P50,000 to Cuers group as partial payment for the killing of Gingoyon, said Chief Superintendent Jesus Verzosa, Calabarzon police director, and lawyer Ruel Lasala, NBI-National Capital Region chief.
"We have to get Alimudin to find out the identity of the person or persons who financed the murder of the judge. Wala pa kaming idea kung sino ang nagbigay ng pera sa kanya (We still dont have any idea who gave the money to him)," Lasala said.
Probers have lifted fingerprints from the motorcycle to be matched with those of Cuer, Datas and the other suspects. With Ed Amoroso
