20,890 new elementary school teachers – PRC

MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 20,890 elementary teachers out of 44,764 examinees successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) given last March.

Mary Grace Manuel Bamba of the Bataan Peninsula State University-Dinalupihan; Khane Jevie Rose Solante Cervantes of Davao Oriental State University-Cateel campus and Queenie Macalindong Macatangay of the University of Batangas were first placers in the LEPT results at the elementary level, averaging 94.40 percent.

Second placer was Gracelyn Celestian Ygot of the Cebu Technological University-Moalboal with a score of 92.20.Meanwhile, Leila Mae Mariñas Centino of the Central Luzon State University and Jane Grace Rendal Quisel of Negros Oriental State University-Dumaguete placed third in the exam.

At the same time, licensure exams were given to secondary teachers wherein 50,539 teachers out of 85,980 examinees in 36 testing centers nationwide passed.

Javerson Loquina from the Christian Colleges of Southeast Asia came in at top spot with a score of 92.80.

Second placer was Jose Brando Ballesteros Castro of Pangasinan State University- Bayambang (92.60) followed by Molly Krister Quimada Nalas (92.40).
