New Roller Coaster TVC show kids’ imagination

The new commercial from Jack ‘n Jill captures kids’ creativity and imagination during snack time

MANILA, Philippines - Snacktime just got more exciting as Jack ‘n Jill Roller Coaster rolls out a new TV commercial (TVC) that captures the relentless creativity of today’s youngsters. Directed by Joey Agbayani, the fun-packed TVC showcases how snack time can be more fun with Roller Coaster. Kids’ imaginations can run wild, and even simple activities, such as snacking, can become a grand adventure. In the TVC, the popular cheddar cheese-flavored potato snack inspires a trio of energetic youngsters to find a way to play football indoors. By painting their hands like miniature players and using Roller Coaster potato ring as a soccer ball, the kids create unique and exciting football match. The TVC ends with a winning kick that sends the potato ring into a happy puppeteer’s mouth.

Joey lends his storytelling expertise and vision to the TVC aptly called Freestyle, a term also used by sports fans to refer to the art of expressing oneself with a football. He reveals, “We made the right choice for the very talented kids — they had to train and practice for the freestyle hand football. They were all very patient and very professional. We all had a good time.”

Harrison, the TVC’s creative agency, is likewise thrilled with Freestyle’s focus on the flair and enthusiasm of kids. “Kids are resourceful, always finding new ways to play. For creative concepts to really speak to them, we felt that they should feature things kids would want to do, things that are new, fun, playful and interesting,”  adds Harrison’s associate creative director Paolo Fabregas.

The commercial hopes to inspire kids to come up with their own simple yet creative activities that can be done indoors. With a blast of imagination and with Roller Coaster Cheese, Ham and Cheese or Ketchup Craze, snack time can become a playfully fun experience for kids of any age.
