Derek Ramsay and Erich Gonzales make a handsome pair. They have natural chemistry. And when you see them teasing each other, you can see that there’s genuine friendship. And the fun is real — even their respect for each other. Derek and Erich are lovely to look at. They complement each other. This rapport has roused wags to blabber that something is going on between the two. Adding fuel to the speculations was when Derek invited Erich to have dinner at his Tagaytay home. Erich calls Derek “dong” and Derek calls Erich, “day.” “Dong” and “day” are terms of endearment commonly used in the Visayan region.
There is nothing going on between the two of them, Derek and Erich clarified. When people see them together, it is because they are paired in the movie, Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang which reportedly earned over P7M on opening day.
“It is a horror/love story,” explained Erich. “It is the most challenging movie I have done so far.”
Derek makes a 180-degree turn as he portrays a probinsyano as opposed to the previous rich boy roles he has done. “In Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang, I am a probinsyano, Pilipinong, Pilipino. The movie was shot after the Japanese occupation,” said Derek.
Despite their busy schedules, Derek and Erich still find time for their personal life. “I always make time,” Derek shared. He and Angelica plan trips for the family. And yes, he has no time for the Angelica/Erich rift. “There is no issue, at all.” Erich, who has been dragged into the mess, quipped that she holds no grudge against some people. “Kung ano man yong masasakit na nasabi sa akin in the past kinalimutan ko na yon. Hindi naman totoo, kaya hindi na ako nagsalita. I was invited to dinner. At sabi niya, alam ni Angelica. Wala ako masamang intensyon. Nasaktan lang ako at naalarma dahil sa mga malicious na kwento. Pero kung sino man ang nag-umpisa noon, napatawad ko na siya. Matagal na rin naman yon.”
Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang is showing in theaters nationwide.
Zsa Zsa keeps sanity intact
Zsa Zsa Padilla is keeping her sanity intact in these most trying times of her life. Comedy King Dolphy is sick and Zsa Zsa is trying to keep her spirits high. “Ayaw kasi niya na iiyak ka, kasi iiyak din siya. We try to be strong. I never show fear. In my home, nobody can panic. Everyone can panic except me,” revealed Zsa Zsa.
An ASAP regular, Zsa Zsa has been criticized for being in the show for the longest time. In her Twitter account, she answered her haters. “Masaya ba kayo na mawalan ako ng job bilang breadwinner ng family ko? Sana mag-isip naman kayo sa mga tweet niyo. Nagtratrabaho lang po. Every week niyo na lang ako binabastos.”
Zsa Zsa was very emotional when interviewed by The Buzz during the victory party for Budoy. “Minsan hanapbuhay na ang pinupuntirya nila every week. Huwag naman sana umiral ang galit o inggit. Or hindi pagkakaintindihan. People should understand that they, too, have a responsibility. It’s not because they are anonymous they can continue to bash people. They don’t understand how painful it is. Nakakaramdam kami ng sakit.”
Zsa Zsa admitted that she is genuinely affected by vitriolic criticisms because of the emotional hardships her family is going through. “People know why I am sensitive. What I am going through right now is very, very difficult. The past three years have been very difficult for me and my family. It is just too much.”
Anne-bisyosa goes on a nationwide tour
Anne Curtis, the Princess of All Media and the Concert Sweetheart, is honest enough to admit that she is no singer. She is self-effacing when it comes to her ability to hit musical notes. Yes, she knows that her singing is improving. But she won’t make singing part of her career path. “Hindi ko siya talaga gagawin. Something for fun lang.”
But Anne-bisyosa will bring Anne to a nationwide tour and a world tour this year. “I am so excited. People tweet ‘can’t wait for you to be here.’ And for my Cebu concert, may nag-tweet sa akin, ‘Ms. Anne can we get tickets kahit silver na lang.’ It’s kilig.”
Apart from the nationwide and world tour of Anne-bisyosa, Anne will be working on a teleserye with Robin Padilla and Kris Aquino. “I am very excited because it is my first time with Robin as a leading man. I will be working again with Ate Kris (Aquino) but this time she is not going to be my tita but we are up against each other over one man.”
Anne, who is going steady with Erwann Heusaff, hopes to go back to school someday and maybe put up her own business. But in the meantime, “I am just very happy,’ she added.
