Conde rules 1st Cebu Moped Race

Ted Conde was faced with a choice: join the motocross race in Carcar or the moped racing festival?

Conde chose the latter and it turned out to be the right decision as he won the open title of the 1st Moped Circuit Racing Festival of Cebu at the Kartzone in Mabolo, this city.

The rider also won second place in the expert open class won by Zandro Fajardo of Oz Racing. Gene Faelnar, the executive director of Cebu City Sports Commission, finished third.

The other winners were Jerome Borden, Christopher Pardenilla and Ralph Patalinghug.

Borden, who is on the comeback trail, ruled the novice open division over Instik Flores and Mark Capoy.

Pardenilla outwitted JR Juntilla and former BMX rider Blendel Sanico in the novice stock division.

Patalinghug, on the other hand, was the fastest among the beginners, trailed by Jonathan Teehankee and Chris Miculob.

Oz Racing and Sidetrack Promotions sponsored the race. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
