The MLSDF Boomers couldn't get their offense going in the first two quarters that resulted into an eight-point deficit at halftime, 36-44.
After pulling within five after three quarters, 75-62, fortune smiled at the MLSDF Boomers as the Black Shama suffered a huge collapse at the endgame.
This allowed the MLSDF Boomers to turn the tide of the match in their favor using a game-closing 33-15 rally that befuddled the Black Shama at the final buzzer with a 13-point defeat.
With win, the MLSDF Boomers improved their win-loss record to 3-2, while the Black Shama absorbed its fourth setback against only one win.
In the other game, the Athletes for Christ in Excellent Service (ACES) overcame the Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT) Baby Skyblazers, 63-59, for its second victory in five starts.
SCSIT fell to 3-2 in this developmental cagefest organized by the M. Lhuillier Sports Development Commission (MLSDF) through the initiative of its executive director Eddie Ybañez.
