CFA President Jonathan 'Maxi' Maximo said it's no excuse for DBYC to default its remaining games just because it has already lost its chances for the championships.
"They are not supposed to default the game because it affects the standings and the chance of CIS to get in the semifinals. Natambangan tingali sila. They have not won a single game yet," said Maximo.
DBYC forfeited its game last Sunday against Cebu International School, and two weeks ago against InterFC Cebu.
CIS needed to score by 23 goals against DBYC to qualify in the semifinals in group B. DBYC lost its first match 10-1 against Hiroshi and 7-1 against Springdale
"They could have informed us a day before the game. They did it the second time already. Of course we will give priority to school activities we can adjust the schedules but just defaulting the game without apparent reason, that's another story. It's unfair to the other teams and coaches, " Maximo added.
Although, the gravity of the offense may not be that serious, Maximo once he will received the referee's report,will immediately endorsed it to the disciplinary committee to educate the teams to finish the tournament.
"Para dili na ma usab, they have committed to this tournament they should finish it. Daghan unta mo apil sa tournament but we turned them down just to accommodate them. They should also show some respect," added Maximo.
