CEBU, Philippines - Hurt upon seeing that their mother was reportedly struck with a chair by their father, two men mauled their own father in Borbon town purportedly to give him a lesson but killed him in the process instead.
Felix Sinilong, 54, was mauled to death by his two sons – Ronald, 26, and Jomar, 24 – inside their house in barangay Lugo last Saturday.
Police investigation revealed that around 4 p.m. of that day, Felix and his wife Laureta had a heated argument. In the course of the altercation, a furious Felix allegedly grabbed a chair and struck his wife with it. The woman reportedly suffered injuries in various parts of her body.
As their two sons saw what was happening to their mother, they began attacking their father. But when they noticed that he was already unconscious, slumped on the ground, they rushed him to the Juan Dosado Hospital in the neighboring town of Sogod.
However, Felix was pronounced dead there by Dr. Cindy Sim, the attending physician. He reportedly sustained serious injuries all over his body.
