CEBU, Philippines - Restaurants are sprouting all over the city and people are fascinated to taste new flavors. That’s why friends Edwin Ortiz, Alex Suarez, Alvin Quibilin and Nigel Wenceslao have decided to put up a place where Chinese cuisine enthusiasts are very much welcome.
There are Asian restaurants all over Cebu but what’s new with this restaurant is their variety of flavorful dim sums and steamed fried rice.
“We offer a variety of menu but we cater more on dim sum products such as the all-time Cebuano favorite siomai,” said managing director Wenceslao. Meanwhile, the restaurant also serves Filipino dishes such as sisig and many others.
Located at The Walk IT Park, Cebu City, Chow City is just the right place to chill out and eat with friends and family. Open from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on weekends, Chow City is ready to serve you sumptuous meals at affordable prices.
Among their bestsellers is the P55 steamed fried rice which comes in pork, chicken and beef varieties. They also have different kinds of siomai - shrimp, mushroom, quail eggs, bacon and many others.
Dining in Chow City has been made more exciting with their cool Chinese-inspired interiors designed by Quibilin himself. Pictures of different Asian signature landmarks decorate the walls and low-light lamps give the place a really cozy ambiance.
Chow City President Edwin Ortiz said they chose the name because it’s easy to remember. He added that Cebuanos are fond of eating so they chose “chow” which means to eat in Chinese.
If you’re too busy to go out to eat, don’t worry because they also deliver for only P30. Deliveries cover barangays Lahug and Mabolo, and within the Capitol Site as of the moment. Chow City is also open for meeting or party reservations. Just dial 231-2800 or 231-3800 for your reservations and deliveries. (FREEMAN)
