CEBU, Philippines - Converse’s 33rd. Among the 20 stores that opened in the newest shopping enclave in town, J Center Mall along A.S. Fortuna, Mandaue, is the 33rdConverse boutique in the Philippines located at the second level owned by franchisees, couple Steveson & Kathy Yau. On display is a collection of merchandise, including the core products or the most saleable Chuck Taylor kicks, as well as the latest from their Fall & Holiday Collection 2011.

SM Hypermarket Shopping. Following the opening of Converse is also the launch of SM Hypermarket in J Center Mall last September 30, its anchor store. It’s a modern wet market with a wide selection of fresh meats, fruits and vegetables and has also adopted the wet market’s “tingi-tingi” practice – selling of items in small packets. The 6,200-square-meter massive shopping center set on the upper ground floor also carries grocery items, as well as home improvement materials, select appliances and tasteful furniture pieces.

Beauty & Health Specialist. On its campaign to promote health and wellness, The Watsons Store opened its 258th store in the Philippines, the 15th in Cebu at J Center Mall. This is to bring this health & specialist store closer to Cebuanos, especially those up north. Like most Watsons outlets, the J Mall stand-alone houses an array of health and beauty products comprising more than 2,000 “exclusive” products solely distributed by Watsons. Also up for grabs are “fun” products such as snacks and health drinks.

Simply Complex. The Complex Lifestyle Store is in full swing. It’s a hip concept store that gathers a hodgepodge of (the freshest) footwear, apparel and accessories for him and her from Creative Recreation, Ecko Unltd., Zoo York, Pony, Sperry, Keds, Havaianas, Energie, Ray Ban and G-shock in one roof. Hot off the rack is the boat shoes from the American heritage brand Sperry Top-Sider. More collections from this iconic boat shoe brand are expecting to be shipped in. CLS is in Ayala Center Cebu, the second branch by far.
