Lumia 630 Dual SIM launched

MANILA, Philippines - Giving more emphasis on affordability and practicality, Microsoft-owned Nokia has unveiled its latest budget smartphone, the Lumia 630, which is the also first in the Lumia series to be capable of supporting two SIM cards and one of the first to run the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system.

Nokia promises unrivalled affordable smartphone experience with the Lumia 630, which boasts of high speed, improved specs and apps, and a larger display.

Karel Holub, general manager for the Philippines of Microsoft mobile device sales, says, “With high-end technologies and apps, a seamless Windows Phone 8.1 experience and the first-ever dual-SIM Lumia empowering people to connect on their terms, we believe the Lumia 630 Dual Sim is undoubtedly the best smartphone in its affordable price range.”

With its dual-SIM feature, the Lumia 630 enables users to have separate messaging and phone tiles for both SIM cards, while also allowing them to sync the two SIM cards and have combined phone and messaging apps.

Powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, the Lumia 630 delivers fast and reliable social experiences through its integrated apps such as Word Flow and Internet Explorer and social apps like WhatsApp, WeChat and Instagram.

The new Lumia phone also boasts of its Word Flow, which is the fastest keyboard around and the “best Windows Phone experience ever,” promising users to type with great ease by  swiping with Word Flow. They can also see all of their chats, social updates and settings with just one swipe in the all-new Action Center. Moreover, they can also make their start screen more personalized by adding a background photo to see their real-time Live Tiles come to life more than ever before.

The phone is equipped with 8GB of internal storage, and an expandable storage of up to 128GB via a microSD card, giving users plenty of room to store their favorite apps, photos, music and more.

It is also designed with a ClearBlack 4.5-inch LCD screen, allowing better viewing angles and visibility in bright conditions, as well as more enjoyable entertainment and gaming experience with Xbox games, as well as the Storyteller.

The Lumia 630 is also packed with a five-megapixel auto focus camera and advanced imaging applications like the Nokia camera and Cinemagraph.

The new Lumia phone also features the new SensorCore, which is perfect for fitness junkies. The new SensorCore brings low-power motion sensing to help people track their activities all day without consuming much of the large 1830mAh battery — perfect for exercise and exploration using apps like Bing Health and Fitness.

The Lumia 360 also showcases a new matte polycarbonate design with changeable shells available in bold new colors – bright orange, bright green and bright yellow – in addition to matte black and white.

Also available is the colorful Nokia MD-12 Bluetooth speaker (SRP P1,990), which connects wirelessly using the new easy-to-use Device Hub app and plays for 15 hours and transforms almost any surface into big-sounding bass. It’s the perfect accessory to help people get the most from music, videos and games, and also functions as a convenient speaker phone on the go.

The Lumia 630 Dual SIM, valued at P7,990, will be available in the country starting May 30.
