Best in Asian leisure projects

Constantly in search of experiences that will delight the customer, Anvaya Cove’s project managers and planners regularly travel to popular resorts around the world to check out the latest trends in leisure and lifestyle. This experiential research allows them to fully savor "wow experiences", elements of which are then applied in the various components of Anvaya Cove. The Seaside Villas are examples of how the world class vacationing experience is captured in Anvaya Cove, Ayala Land Premier’s 1st leisure seaside development located in Morong, Bataan.

The Seaside Villas are inspired by the beach resort villas of Phuket and Bali, and incorporate the best features of these famous Asian destinations. For instance, peace and privacy are paramount for most European vacationers, and the Villas’ dual structure design satisfies these needs. Each villa is made up of two separate houses that are connected by an outdoor deck of natural stone. The Social Pavilion houses the living room, kitchen, dining room and guest room while the Private Pavilion contains the bedrooms. With the entertainment and social areas separated from the living quarters, a Villa owner can retire to the tranquility of his bedroom even if a lively party is taking place in the other pavilion.

Another notable feature is the Villas’ large glass windows that maximize views of the outdoors while preserving the privacy of the people within. Clever landscaping outside the windows shields the owners from public sight yet allows them to have a clear view of the surroundings. Because of this landscaping technique, even bathrooms and dressing areas of the Villas provide views of the outdoors. This setup gives the Villa owners their own scenic, private sanctum, "the ultimate luxury for anyone who must live in today’s crowded megacitites," says planning manager Manny Illana.

But the interaction of indoors and outdoors in the Seaside Villas goes beyond viewing. Construction Manager Darwin Salipsip relates that in all the resorts they visited, the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces were blurred. "We hardly saw any fully enclosed spaces in Phuket and Bali. Not even in the bathrooms. At the Seaside Villas, we strive to erase the distinctions between the indoors and the outdoors." Thus, all areas of the Seaside Villas open up to the outdoor greenery in one way or another, inviting the natural Anvaya atmosphere to permeate the house.

Thoughtful integration of structures with the environment is another trademark feature of world class Asian resorts which the Seaside Villas have adopted. Europeans and Westerners in general, put a premium on vacation houses that harmonize with the natural environment. Like the best seaside homes in Asia, the Seaside Villas are multi-leveled to follow the lay of the land, and use wood and stone extensively to blend with the surrounding vegetation.

Finally, as with many of the best villas in Phuket and Bali, each Seaside Villa is accented by a plunge pool. The pool, centrally located on the deck that joins the two pavilions of the Villa, is meant for quick dips to cool off rather than for laps. The pool area is also ideal for cocktail hour and for parties.

The Seaside Villas at Anvaya Cove showcase the best of Philippine leisure. "By far, the Philippines’ beaches and other natural resources are among its greatest attractions," says Illana. "By capitalizing on these, a Philippine leisure development can rival the best seaside destinations in the world such as Phuket, Bali, Pattaya and Langkawi."

By working with nature, Ayala Land Premier will continue to produce world class destinations with its future leisure projects.
