Shopify, Globe enhance e-commerce service for Filipino SMEs

MANILA, Philippines – Canada-based e-commerce platform Shopify and Globe Telecom enhanced their services to better suit the needs of small and medium enterprises in the Philippines. 

Shopify Strategic Partnership Manager Cameron Vernest, also a member of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Canada Advisory Group, together with Shopify Head of Business Development Brennan Loh, reinforced the company’s partnership with Globe myBusiness, the SME arm of Globe, when they recently visited the telco’s headquarters in Taguig City.

With technology as the definitive equalizer in business, these digital solutions allow SMEs to compete with bigger brands through the use of tools that give them the competitive edge,” Globe myBusiness Senior Vice President Martha Sazon said.

Shopify is a cloud-based, multichannel commerce platform designed for small and medium business which owners can use to design, set up and manage their stores across multiple sales channels.

With Globe myBusiness’ services, Shopify can now provide SMEs with a package that will allow business owners to build their online store and efficiently manage back-end processes at the same time. 

They can use Shopify’s technology to track orders, monitor customer data, and access marketing and analytics information, among others.
