Depende gyud na sa sitwasyon. If I know nga naglisod gyud siya financially, ako mismo ang muingon niyang ayaw na lang ko hatagi’g regalo. Pero kun kahibawo ko nga capable siya, nya tapolan lang gyud mopalit og regalo or dili lang gyud thoughtful, maka-sad gud pud. Though presence is always more important than presents, it’s also nice to know that you’re on your special someone’s gift-giving list kana kun naa siya'y ikapalit og regalo. A wrapped gift given with love is awesome. But just love is enough.

Kanang dili muhatag og regalo in return is totally acceptable. We don’t give gifts to expect something in return. Pero kanang dili man lang mu thank you? Ambot lang ha. Mura’g wala gyuy igong rason og nganong di man lang magpasalamat. Masakitan gyud pud ko ana. No matter what society says, gift-giving isn’t a Christmas requirement. It should be done from the heart. So, should you still give gifts to your ungrateful friends? What does your heart say?
