MANILA, Philippines — A councilor in Coron, Palawan wants two vloggers be declared as persona non grata for entering into and accosting a staff of the office of the mayor.

The proposal of Councilor Juan Patricia Eyes stemmed from a viral a video showing Rendon Labador and Rosmar Tan berating Jho Trinidad inside the office of Mayor Marjo Reyes.

The vloggers were furious because Trinidad criticized on social media an event they organized involving residents of Coron.

In the post, Trinidad said that Labador and Tan allegedly made the people wait and left them starving.

“They waited for several hours until they starved. The staff even assisted you, but you did not give them a single centavo,” Trinidad posted on Facebook.

The office of the mayor has ordered an investigation into the incident.

Reyes, who was on an official travel, directed officers-in-charge of concerned departments of the local government to conduct a fair and thorough investigation on the matter.

Reyes traveled to Puerto Princesa on June 13 to support local participants in the Batagatan Festival 2024.
