ILOILO CITY, Philippines — Known anti-narcotics police officers of the Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO) were part of the latest batch of policemen “purged” out of Police Regional Office - 6 (PRO-6).
Effective last October 21, Superintendent Richard Adonis Habawel, Chief Inspector Lorenez Losaria, Senior Inspector Ariel Corcino, and Senior Inspector John Ryan Doceo, were relieved from their posts by virtue of Special Order Number 8682.
PRO-6 spokesperson Superintendent Gilbert Gorero said the order was issued by the PNP national headquarters in Camp Crame.
The four relieved officials are expected to report to Camp Crame on October 31, and Gorero said he was not briefed on where they will be assigned afterwards. Also, “I’m not privy to the reason why they were relieved,” he told The Freeman.
Before the relief order, Habawel is the commander of the Iloilo Provincial Public Safety Company while Losaria is with the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Office at Camp Delgado in Iloilo City.
Corcino is the chief of the Pototan Police Station, while Doceo is the chief of the IPPO Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group.
Meanwhile, Special Order No. 8674, also relieved five other police non-commissioned officers (PNCOs) and told to report to Camp Crame on October 31. (FREEMAN)
