Batch 2004 now 4-0, Cabahug fires 52 points in Batch 2006 win
CEBU, Philippines — The ‘04 For the Win Batch 2004 kept its undefeated record intact while Mikey Cabahug produced an eye-catching performance in leading Subtero Batch 2006 to victory in Division B of the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Season 28 at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles Arena in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.
Ricardo Pepito sizzled with 15 points, two rebounds, four assists and as many steals while Jedd Ryan Go added 14 markers as Batch 2004 stretched its hot streak to four games with an 87-50 rout of 2kcares.org.
Christopher Consunji had 11 points while Kyle Valmoria posted a double-double of 10 points and 10 assists with six boards for the streaking Batch 2004.
On the other hand, the red-hot Cabahug exploded for 52 points on top of 10 rebounds and two assists as Batch 2006 thrashed the listless Magis Medical Fund, 76–57.
Batch 2006 now holds a 3-1 card in a tie with ZLREJ Trading and Construction Batch 2010, which bagged its third win after edging past Harley Davidson Batch 2012, 58-52.
Gabe Branzuela filled the stats sheet with 23 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block for Batch 2010.
In other Division B games, Knox Steel Batch 2007 evened its record at 2-2 after defeating the Core Pacific Exchange, 71-58, while the Onses Batch 2011 snapped its two-game jinx in style, obliterating the Golden Dragons Batch 2012, 81-37.
Niel Benedicto showed the way for Batch 2007 with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block, while Kiefer Lim paced Batch 2011 with 18 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
