CEBU, Philippines — Two newly completed road projects were officially inaugurated in the City of Naga and the town of San Fernando, both in southern Cebu.

In the City of Naga, the Langtad–Bairan Road Section, spanning 3.714 kilometers, was inaugurated on April 15 by Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and Mayor Valdemar Chiong. The road concreting project, which cost P96.5 million, follows the standard specifications for provincial roads, with a width of 6.10 meters and a cement thickness of nine inches.

Also present at the event were First District Congresswoman Rhea Gullas, Provincial Board Member Glenn Soco, and other local officials.

The project is expected to benefit residents of Barangays Langtad, Bairan, and Jaguimit by making travel to and from rural areas faster and more convenient.

On the same day, Governor Garcia also led the inauguration of another newly completed road project in the town of San Fernando.

The Panadtaran–Tongo Road Section, which cost P52.5 million, stretches 2.574 kilometers and likewise adheres to the standard provincial road specifications.

Residents of Barangays Panadtaran and Tongo are expected to benefit from the improved accessibility. The road will also serve as a durable and reliable connection between the two barangays. (CEBU NEWS)
